The Old Man Release Date: The release date for Jeff Bridges’ latest film The Old Man was announced today.
The series will launch on FX on June 16 with two episodes, and will then be available to stream on Hulu the following day.
The series is based on Thomas Perry’s bestselling novel of the same name.

However, TV stalwarts John Lithgow, Amy Brenneman, and Alia Shawkat will join him.
E.J. Bonilla, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Bill Heck, Leem Lubany, and Pej Vahdat will all appear in the series.
Bridges will play Dan Chase, a man who quit his position as a CIA operative and has been living off the grid for decades.
When an assassin hunts him down and tries to kill him, he is driven out of hiding.
Dan is swiftly pursued by numerous adversaries. The FBI’s Assistant Director for Counterintelligence is one of them (Lithgow).
He’s joined by his apprentice (Shawkat) and a CIA Special Agent (Bonilla), who wants to apprehend Chase due to their shared, convoluted history. If Chase wants to glimpse the future, he must confront his past.
The Old Man for Television Adapted
Jonathan E. Steinberg and Robert Levine have adapted The Old Man for television.
The first two episodes of the seven-episode season will be directed by Jon Watts, who directed the Spider-Man trilogy.
Warren Littlefield, Steinberg, Dan Shotz, Levine, Bridges, David Schiff, and Watts are executive producers for The Old Man.
On June 16, FX will air two episodes of The Old Man, which will then be available to view on Hulu the next day.
The series will soon be available to stream on Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ in other international regions under the Star name.

“The Old Man,” starring Jeff Bridges, will premiere on FX on June 16, the network announced on Thursday.
Bridges play Dan Chase, a former CIA operative who has been living off the grid for decades, based on Thomas Perry’s novel of the same name.
When a mysterious assassin begins hunting him down, he is compelled to come out of hiding and is pursued by Harold Harper (John Lithgow).
A former acquaintance from his past. Alia Shawkat, E.J. Bonilla, and Gbenga Akinnagbe feature as CIA personnel assisting Dan in his search.
Amy Brenneman portrays Zoe, a regular lady who gets drawn into the investigation when Dan leases a room from her.
The series will also feature Bill Heck, Leem Lubany, and Pej Vahdat.
The Debut of “the Old Man” Was Initially Scheduled for 2020
However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, production was halted in March. In the fall, filming resumed.
Bridges were diagnosed with leukemia in October, and the concert was once again delayed.
Production was eventually restarted and completed in early 2022.
Season One of “The Old Man” will air every Thursday for seven episodes.

HBO Max Has Released the Trailer
for “The Staircase,” a limited series based on Michael Peterson’s groundbreaking documentary.
