What Happened In The Schmigadoon Series?
Once upon a time, there was a small town in the mountains of the United States of America called Schmigadoon. The people of Schmigadoon lived a simple life, but they were happy and content.
One day, a couple named Melissa and Josh were hiking in the mountains when they came upon the town of Schmigdoon. He is instantly transported to a world of music and shown tunes with the townspeople singing and dancing.
As Josh and Melissa explore the city, they learn that they are stuck in Schmigadoon until they find true love. However, there was a catch – they had to fall in love with each other despite many differences and issues in their relationship.
As they make their way through the town and its residents, Melissa and Josh find themselves caught in a love triangle with two very different townspeople. Melissa falls for the charming and handsome bad boy, while Josh is drawn to the cute and innocent school teacher
Meanwhile, the townspeople of Schmigadoon do everything they can to help Melissa and Josh fall in love, including producing the music of their lives. With catchy songs and delightful dance numbers, the townspeople show Melissa and Josh the true meaning of love and how to overcome their differences.
In the end, after much self-discovery and soul-searching, Melissa and Josh realized that they truly loved each other and that their differences only made their love stronger. As they profess their love for each other, the spell is broken and they are able to return to the real world.
Although they were sad to leave the magical town of Schmigdoon behind, Melissa and Josh knew they had found true love and they would forever cherish the memories of their time in the musical wonderland.

Schmingadoon Season 2 Expected Storyline
“Schmigadoon!” Season 2 finds Josh and Melissa in a different kind of state. They’re married now, but something’s wrong. Now finding themselves a second time in a mysterious place at the end of a foggy bridge, their new temporary home of Schmickago has some different surprises in store.
Those new wrinkles make room for a little more darkness, a little more atmosphere, and pizzazz that goes beyond one-size-fits-most. Schmigdoon! could afford to be nothing but one parody after another.
But this season is held together by a sweet story about working towards happiness — not just for Josh and Melissa, but for everyone in town.
Sure, as a moral, it’s a simplistic one, and six episodes don’t give a Shmigadoon! Lots of time to really delve into the lives of each of its characters.
However, this Shmigdoon! That doesn’t stop Key’s trip to the ’60s and ’70s from being an absolute blast. I mean, when you have such a great cast and such delightful songs, is it really possible to go wrong?
The underlying formula is still commonly something very similar, yet utilized for various finishes, trading in the progressive history of 70s Broadway as the premise.

With that slight tweak in attitude, it’s “Schmigadoon!” Season 2’s journey may actually be a better chance to attract more fans who aren’t automatically sold by just the premise.
