Sarah Kate Silverman (born December 1, 1970) is a stand-up comedian, actress, and writer from the United States.
Silverman rose to prominence after appearing as a writer and cast member on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live during its 19th season in 1993 and 1994.
After leaving SNL, she starred in and produced The Sarah Silverman Program, which aired on Comedy Central from 2007 to 2010. Silverman was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on the show.
In 2010, she published her autobiography, The Bedwetter. She also appeared in Mr. Show and V.I.P., as well as in films such as Who’s the Caboose? (1997), School of Rock (2003), Wreck-It Ralph (2012), A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014), and Ralph Break the Internet (2015).
