computer-memory

If you’re seeing an error message, here’s what you should do. This post is meant to provide you with the most appropriate remedies to the issue of not having enough memory to open this page, which may be accompanied by the error code Out of Memory, instead of a webpage on your Google Chrome browser.

Ensure That All Other Tabs, Extensions, and Programs Are Closed!

This is most likely to happen to you. Your computer may have run out of memory and is unable to load the site while concurrently running your apps, extensions, and programs, resulting in the Not enough memory to open this page problem in Google Chrome.

Close all tabs except the one that displays the error message in this situation. Stop any running apps or programs, and pause any app or file downloads. Additionally, delete or disable any superfluous Chrome extensions.

Delete the Cache in Chrome

To try this method, delete the cache in your Chrome browser and see if it helps.

Turn Off the Hardware Acceleration

This problem may occur if you have Chrome’s Hardware Acceleration option enabled. You can try removing Hardware Acceleration in this scenario to see if the error goes away. If that doesn’t work, move on to the next option.

Upgrade to the 64-bit Version of Chrome

The majority of those affected were using a 32-bit version of Chrome. If you’re running a 32-bit version, check to see if you can upgrade to a 64-bit version and see if it helps.

Increase the Number of Pages Filed

Because this is a low-to-no-memory issue, expanding the paging file will ensure that Google Chrome has adequate memory to display the page (aka Virtual Memory).

Delete the Memory Cache

Clearing the memory cache on your Windows 10 PC is required for this approach.

Change the Name of the Google Chrome Default Folder

This issue could be caused by a corrupted Chrome user profile. In this scenario, renaming the Google Chrome Default folder will solve the problem. Here’s how to do it:

To Open the Run Dialogue, Press the Windows Key + R

Copy and paste the environment variable below into the Run dialogue box, then press Enter:

Locate the Default folder at the location.

Rename the folder by right-clicking it and selecting Rename from the context menu.
Hit Enter to rename the folder to Old Default.

Chrome should be restarted.

Automatically, a new Default folder will be created. The problem should now be fixed.

I Hope One of These Suggestions Proves Useful!

  • Google Chrome is a popular browser among consumers and a good browser in general, yet it has problems.
  • When trying to access a webpage in Chrome, some users received the error message: Not enough RAM to open this page.
  • Make some tweaks to the hardware acceleration to solve the Chrome out-of-memory issue. This guide will walk you through all of the steps.
  • If Google Chrome doesn’t have enough memory to open this page, try expanding page filling and looking at our post below for more ideas.

You Should Use a Better Browser Instead of Fixing Difficulties With Chrome: Opera

You are entitled to a better browser! Every day, 350 million people use Opera, a full-featured navigation experience with a variety of built-in packages, reduced resource use, and a beautiful look.
Here are some examples of what Opera can do:

  • Simple migration: transfer existing data, such as bookmarks, passwords, and so on, using the Opera helper.
  • Resource optimization: your RAM is used more efficiently than Chromes.
  • Increased privacy: a free and unlimited VPN is included.
  • There are no advertisements because they are built-in. Ad Blocker reduces the time it takes for pages to load and protects you from data mining.
  • When users try to open a certain webpage, some Chrome tabs may display a Not enough memory to open this page problem message.
  • As a result, the page does not load in the browser. That error notice usually indicates that there isn’t enough free RAM to access a webpage with a lot of multimedia components like videos, animations, and so on.

Disable All Browser Extensions and Close All Tabs

  • Select Customize Google Chrome from the drop-down menu.
  • To open the tab directly below, click More tools and then Extensions.
  • Then, to turn off the add-ons, click all of the extension switch buttons. Users can also delete extensions by pressing the Remove button.
  • After you’ve disabled the extensions, restart Chrome. Then try to open the page that was previously unavailable.

Other third-party programs should likewise be closed. To do so, right-click the taskbar and pick Task Manager from the drop-down menu. Then, on the Processes tab, users can close listed apps by right-clicking them and selecting End job.

Increase the Number of Pages Filed

By pressing the Type here to search button on the taskbar, you can access Cortana.
In the search box, type advanced system settings. Then, to view the window shown below, click View advanced system settings.

  • The Advanced tab should be selected.
  • To open the Settings window, press the Settings button.
  • Then, in the Performance Options window, select the Advanced tab.
  • To open the window in the screenshot below, press the Change button.
  • Deactivate the option to automatically manage paging file size for all discs.
  • Choose Custom size from the drop-down menu.
  • Now, in the Initial size text, type a figure that covers the Recommended and Currently allocated values at the bottom of the window.
  • In the Maximum size text box, users can enter the same number as they did in the Initial Size box. Alternatively, under the Maximum size text box, type a larger value.
  • To close the window, press the Set button and then OK.

Delete the cache in Chrome

Clearing the cache in Chrome can often resolve website display issues. Click the Customize Google Chrome button to do so.

  • To open the box seen in the screenshot below, go to More tools and then Clear browsing data.
  • Select the option for Cached photos and files.
  • Select the Cookies and other site data check box as well.
  • On the Time range drop-down option, choose All time.
  • Then select Clear data from the menu.
  • To expand the Settings tab, click Advanced.
  • Then turn off the option to use hardware acceleration when it’s available.
  • Chrome should be restarted.

There are a few possible solutions to the error message “Not enough RAM to open this page.” Note that the suggested resolutions may also help with other Google Chrome page crashes.
