Nicole Camille Richie (born September 21, 1981) is a television personality, fashion designer, socialite, and actress from the United States.
She rose to notoriety after starring alongside her childhood friend and fellow socialite Paris Hilton in the reality television series The Simple Life (2003–2007). Richie’s personal life drew media interest during the show’s five-year run and thereafter.
Richie maintained her television career after The Simple Life ended, serving as one of three judges on the reality competition series Fashion Star (2012–2013). She later starred in the two-season unscripted comedy series Candidly Nicole (2014-2015).
Richie has her first series regular acting role as Portia Scott-Griffith in the sitcom Fantastic News from 2017 to 2018. She joined the Making the Cut reality competition series as a judge in 2020. She is the creator of the lifestyle brand House of Harlow. Richie has also written and published two novels.
