Minions 2 Release Date: The Coronavirus Pandemic Shifted the Date!
The coronavirus epidemic, however, led Universal to postpone Minions 2 by a year. The studio then pushed it back to July 2022!
When moviegoing circumstances were still unclear. Universal has remained quite silent in this film, but that appears to be changing. New Minions 2 footage has appeared, with its release perhaps on the horizon.
In the New Rise of Gru Trailer: the Minions Go on a Rescue Mission!

Universal has released a new teaser for Minions: The Rise of Gru, which will be released this summer.

A New Trailer for Minions: the Rise of Gru Has Been Published by Universal (via Peacock Kids)
It will be released in theatres in just over three months. This is more than two years after the first trailer was released.
This will debut in 2020 with the Super Bowl. The Minions 2 trailer, set to Eminem’s popular song “Lose Yourself,” shows a lot more about the little fellas’ new adventure. Look it up below.
The addition of Gru from Despicable Me 2 may have given the impression that Minions 2 will focus less on the eponymous characters.
However, the latest teaser shows that this is not the case. Audiences will get to experience their first encounters with God.
Once God is kidnapped by the Vicious 6, the Minions will have their storyline.
This squad of villains, led by Taraji P. Henson’s Belle Bottom, hasn’t received the chance to show off their ruthlessness yet.
Their presence, as seen in the new Rise of Gru teaser, will culminate in an epic third-act battle.
Michelle Yeoh’s Master Chow appears to be getting a lot of screen time in Minions 2.
After God is abducted, a seemingly innocent lady swears to teach the Minions how to fight.
The adolescent Minions’ approach to this chore is certainly a source of amusement.
It’s safe to anticipate that The Rise of Gru will feature some ridiculous training sequences.
Finally, the new Minions 2 trailer underlines that the film will be released in theatres only in July.
So, for the time being, any concerns about it getting a streaming debut have been put to rest.
The first picture was a financial success in 2015, so Minions: The Rise of Gru could help the pandemic’s still-recovering box office.
