Farah Forkywho co-starred in the long-running NBC sitcom”wingsShe died of cancer on February 25 at her home in Texas, a family friend confirmed diverse. She was 54 years old.

Forke appeared on seasons 4 through 6 of “Wings,” which aired on NBC from 1990 to 1997. She played helicopter pilot (and Desert Storm veteran) Alex Lambert at the Nantucket Airport on the show, and was the darling of both Joe (Tim) Daly) and Brian Hackett (Stephen Webber) – Brian eventually won for her. “Wings” was created by “Cheers” and “Frasier” authors David Angell, Peter Casey and David Lee. The program also starred Tony Shalhoub and Thomas Haden Church.

Forky also had a recurring role as attorney Mason Drake in the second season of “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.” Her acting resume includes the TV shows “Ned and Stacy” and “Mr”. Rhodes” and “Party of Five”, along with appearing in the films “Brain Twisters” (Forke’s first 1991 movie), Barry Levinson’s “Disclosure” (1994), Michael Mann’s “Heat” (1995) and more. Forky has also done voice acting, playing the role of superhero Big Barda in the TV series “Batman Beyond” and “Justice League Unlimited”.

Born on January 12, 1968, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Forky moved as an adult to New York to study acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute of Theater and Film. Later, she moved away from acting to raise her twins, Chuck and Wyatt Forky.

Forky is survived by her two sons. her mother and stepfather, Beverly and Chuck Talmag; her three sisters, Paige Inglis, Jennifer Sailor and Maggie Talmag; and her best friend Mike Peterson.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the American Cancer Society.
