Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini (born October 21, 1995) is an American rapper, singer-songwriter, and record producer better known as Doja Cat.
She began composing and publishing music on SoundCloud as a teenager, having been born and raised in Los Angeles, California.
Her song “So High” piqued the interest of Kemosabe and RCA Records, with whom she secured a joint record deal when she was 17 years old, releasing her debut EP Purrr! in 2014.
Doja Cat is presently attending Paris Couture Fashion Week, which you’re probably aware of because she was hard to miss at the Schiaparelli Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2023 show due to being coated in 30,000 red Swarovski crystals and having the world’s most awkward exchange with Kylie Jenner.

But Doja has really been to numerous exhibitions this week, and all of her outfits have been fantastic and deserve to be recognized. To begin, yes, with Schiaparelli.
FYI, all those crystals were applied by legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath, who told Vogue, “Collaborating with the incomparably gifted Doja Cat and Daniel Roseberry was an incredible pleasure.
Her patience and passion as she worked with Team Pat McGrath for four hours and 58 minutes to complete the design, which was coated in over 30,000 hand-applied Swarovski crystals, was incredibly inspirational.”
Doja Cat followed Schiaparelli by attending the Viktor & Rolf Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2023 show, where she wore a fake mustache and brows made of lashes.
