Destiny 2: Lightfall Bungie, the creators of Destiny, startled everyone last year by revealing not just Beyond Light, the 2020 expansion, but also The Witch Queen and Lightfall. While The Witch Queen’s release date has been pushed out to late 2021, we already know a lot about it courtesy of Bungie’s latest revelation.

When it comes to Lightfall, though, everything is cloaked in mystery. While the expansion was initially planned to represent the conclusion of the current Destiny tale, Bungie has confirmed that it will instead lead into Destiny 2: The Final Shape, yet another expansion.

Destiny 2: Lightfall Game Play

Lightfall is supposed to represent the conclusion of the Destiny story’s Light against Darkness arc, implying that the franchise’s future is uncertain following the expansion. The Witch Queen disclosed fresh mythology and storylines for the game, and Lightfall will pick up where it left off. The only Lightfall video we have is just a teaser. It can be seen in the 3:40 mark of the Past Is Prologue clip, which was published last year.
