Did Buzz Aldrin Gets Married at 93 to His Longtime Love?
Retired astronaut Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon’s surface, and his partner Anca Faur were overjoyed to marry.
On Friday, which also happened to be Aldrin’s 93rd birthday, the two married in a tiny private ceremony in Los Angeles. Aldrin wrote on Twitter that he and his partner were “as enthusiastic as eloping teens” on the big day.
Aldrin accompanied Neil Armstrong on NASA’s historic Apollo 11 mission, the first to land humans on the moon, in 1969. Aldrin left NASA in 1971 and has since become an outspoken supporter of manned missions to Mars.
Faur, one of his partners, is the executive vice president of Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC. Aldrin stated on Twitter that the two have been traveling the world together for more than four years, spending time with Faur’s grandchildren.
