The Book of Boba Fett has been surprisingly famous, though not as popular as The Mandalorian. This has made fans wonder if Temuera Morrison’s first solo project will continue past season one.
Things got even more complicated when episodes 5 and 6 of The Mandalorian became the start of season three sneakily. This show is now called Mando 2.5 because of this.
So what does this mean for The Book of Boba Fett? Is there another chapter, or can we just put this book away for good and move on to the other eighty gajillion Star Wars shows that are coming soon?

Who is Coming Back for Season 2 of The Book of Boba Fett?
Usually, we’d say that a show like The Book of Boba Fett depends on its main character, but episodes 5 and 6 showed that Temuera Morrison isn’t as important to the show as we first thought. It would not be polite to order a second season without Boba Fett himself, so we can be sure that Morrison will be back somehow.
Some others who might join him are:
• Fennec Shand, played by Ming-Na Wen
• Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin/The Mandalorian (if he’s not too busy with his show)
• Matt Berry is 8D8’s voice.
• Carey Jones as Krsantan
• Danny Trejo as Fett’s Rancor’s trainer
After that short but exciting scene after the credits at the end of season one, we think Timothy Olyphant will be back for season two. Cad Bane almost killed Cobb Vanth, but thanks to the Bacta Tank and Fennec Shand’s surgeon, he will be alive the next time we go back to Tatooine, whenever that might be.
We don’t think Corey Burton, who voices Cad Bane, will be back. The notorious bounty hunter got stuck on Boba’s spear at the end of season one, so we probably won’t see him again in season two to cause more trouble for our favorite characters. Even though that blinking light was still on his coat…
Book of Boba Fett Season 2 Plot
After what happened in The Book of Boba Fett, the new daimyo of Tatooine seems to have gotten tired of running a criminal empire. At the end of “Chapter 7,” Boba and Fennec walked through the dusty streets; Boba told Fennec that they weren’t cut out for being rulers.
He throws a melon at Krrsantan and the Modders, which is a sign that he plans to give his allies control of Tatooine while he goes on a new adventure.
It’s not clear, and we don’t know why Boba would give up his throne so quickly after shedding so much blood to get it, but it could be where The Book of Boba Fett season 2 goes.
So, where do they go if Boba and Fennec leave the planet with the most dust in the Outer Rim? Temuera Morrison has a thought, though. He told IMDb that he’d like to fight Mace Windu, a popular Star Wars character played by Samuel L. Jackson, who killed his clone father.
“I owe him a lot for helping my dad. He’s done. He’s done,” Morrison said. “I’m looking at him. He’s at the top of the list.” In the Star Wars universe, Windu is thought to be dead, but Darth Maul was also considered quiet, and he kept coming back. Could Mace do the same thing?
When The Book of Boba Fett Season 2 Will Come Out
The second season of The Book of Boba Fett hasn’t even been given the go-ahead, let alone started filming, so it’s hard to say when it might come out.
Still, it’s been about a year between seasons of The Mandalorian, which is the closest thing we have to Boba Fett’s show so Fett might be back in 2023.
Fett will likely show up in the third season of Mando, so we’re sure that Boba will show up soon.
Given that Disney has bigger plans for Star Wars in general, season two may be delayed so that it can be tied into something else that is planned for later in the series’ run. It was found that The Book of Boba Fett has essential links to the TV show The Mandalorian, which has been given the green light to start filming season three. So, we might have to wait and see how this story develops.
