When Arrested Development came back from the dead in 2013, it was the first show to do this. Fans and critics had mixed feelings about the fourth season on Netflix, but the Bluths are ready to try again. Want to know how the weather is? Here is our review that doesn’t give anything away.
Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, Portia de Rossi, David Cross, and Alia Shawkat will all be back for Season 5 of Arrested Development. They will all play the same roles in Seasons 1–4.
“In talks with Netflix, we all felt that stories about a narcissistic, erratic family in the building business and their desperate abuses of power are underrepresented on TV these days,” said the show’s creator, Mitchell Hurwitz.
I am so thankful to them and 20th TV for making my dream come true by bringing the Bluths, George Sr., Lucille, and their kids Michael, Ivanka, Don Jr., Eric, George-Michael, and who else? Tiffany. Did I say, Tiffany? Okay, let’s get back to the beautiful flow of life.”
The new season will have one or two jabs at the first family…
According to Variety, the big news is that Jeffrey Tambor will be back for Season 5 of Arrested Development. This is important because Tambor was fired from Amazon’s Transparent as the main character because of sexual harassment claims.
EW says that Ron Howard will be back to do the voiceover for the show.
Release Date of Arrested Development Season 5
On March 15, the second half of Season 5 of Arrested Development will come back. This is just under a year after the first half came out on May 29. Here’s what Netflix says about it:
In the second half of the fifth season of Arrested Development, the Bluth family faces more stress as Buster heads toward a murder trial. The Bluth company has to pay for a “smart” border wall, which puts them in debt and could make George-software Michael’s scam public.
Soon, the gay mafia gets involved, and it looks like not even Michael can save the family this time. And Tobias gets the Golden Girl title.
It Could be a Sequel (in parts)
TV Line says that parts of Season 5 will include flashbacks, which is interesting. This was also done in Season 4 when Kristen Wiig and Seth Rogen played young versions of Lucille Bluth and George Michael Sr.

Some people didn’t like how Season 4 of Arrested Development focused on one character at a time, but this was a practical decision that had to be made because the cast had so many other things to do.
This time, though, it’s back to the crazy, family-on-family dynamic that made the first series such a modern comedy classic. The show confirmed on Twitter that “the Bluths are all together. No matter how they feel about it.”
How Many Episodes are there?
Brian Grazer, the show’s executive producer, has confirmed that 17 new episodes have been ordered.
Where Do I Go to See it?
The fifth season of Arrested Development will also come out straight on Netflix, just like Season 4.
Part 2 of Season 5 of Arrested Development starts on March 15
Netflix says that the second half of season 5 of Arrested Development will begin on March 15 with eight new episodes.
Netflix says that the second part of season 5 of Arrested Development will start on March 15.
The famous sitcom, which started in 2003, starred Jason Bateman, Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Tony Hale, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor, and Jessica Walter.
Even though most critics liked it, Fox canceled it after three seasons because of low ratings. When Netflix brought the show back in 2013, people had mixed feelings about it.
This was mainly because the format was changed so that each episode focused on one family member instead of following multiple plot lines.
Arrested Development Season 4 Remix: Fateful Consequences is the name of a new version of Season 4 that was recut and put back in order by the show’s creator, Mitchell Hurwitz. It was announced in 2018 that season 5 would have two parts.

“It pretty much picks up right where we left off in season 4, so I would recommend that before season 5 starts, people watch the fourth season again and try to remember as much as they can about it because the first two episodes of the fifth season are a sort of continuation of the last two episodes of the fourth season, and episode 3 starts covering all the new ground.”
