American actress Allison Howell Williams was born on April 13, 1988. She had a few small television parts before landing the character of Marnie Michaels in the HBO comedy-drama series Girls (2012–2017), which led to a nomination for a Critics’ Choice Award.
After acting as Peter Pan in Peter Pan Live! (2014), she won numerous awards for her performance as Rose Armitage in the horror movie Get Out (2017).
Since then, she has portrayed Kit Snicket in the television series A Series of Unfortunate Events (2017–2019) and portrayed Gemma in the horror movie M3GAN (2022).
Williams, the daughter of former NBC Nightly News anchor and managing editor Brian Williams and TV producer Jane Gillan Stoddard, was born and reared in New Canaan, Connecticut.
Williams’s brother Doug, who is three years younger than she is, went to Greenwich Academy and New Canaan Country School.
She later majored in English at Yale University and was a part of the St. Elmo secret society and Morse College.
Williams worked at a Ralph Lauren outlet while he was in New Canaan. She also spent four years performing with the improv comedy group Just Add Water and appeared in the College Musical YouTube series.
Sam Tsui was a featured actor in the project, which was directed by Kurt Hugo Schneider. In 2010, she earned her English degree.
